Weir Waste Services continually strive to reduce carbon emissions, with regular investment in new and updated fleet, plant and equipment to do this. The latest contribution has rolled into the Trinity Street MRF in the sizeable shape of a new walking floor trailer and unit. The lightweight aluminium design of the trailer enables an increased carrying capacity of 4-5 tonnes per load. This will reduce the number of loads per day and lead to a CO2 saving of between 15- 20 tonnes per annum output reduction. Ron Weir Operations Manager, revealed the new arrival as “a proud addition to our fleet with a real positive impact towards our continuing environmental commitments”.
